07 Nov 2008 | Matt joins the cast of Underbelly 2
UNDERBELLY 2 - A TALE OF TWO CITIES
Matt has been offered a role in the Underbelly prequel, entitled Underbelly 2 and has started filming. This is what Matt told me about the role...

"I can't say too much about my character in UB2. Only that he's a good cop in a corrupt police force who has a nice through-line throughout the series. Not one of the mains, but a nice presence, especially toward the end. With a cast of so many, it's hard to know where he fits in the whole scheme of things (especially as they haven't written the last five eps yet). His name is Warwick Mobbs and he is based on two real life cops."

Underbelly 2 will screen in 2009.

07 Nov 2008 | MATT BACK AT THE ABC
PLAY SCHOOL
On 22 October I asked Matt about him fliming more Play School episodes and when they would be aired, this was his reply....

"Yes, i'm doing more Playschool eps (rehearsed one today actually) but as to when they air, thats in the lap of the ABC. They mix new ones in with reruns from the last 5 years (because it's on twice daily) so i never know when i'm looking like a goose on tele."

Matt Passmore has three blonde McLeod's Daughters vying for his affection.

On screen, he will be part of a love triangle with Abi Tucker (Grace McLeod) and newcomer Rachel Coopes, who plays a vet called Ingrid Marr. Off screen, Passmore is in a relationship with Rachel Carpani, who played Jodi McLeod on the show until last year, just before Passmore joined.

Woman's Day May 2007

Far from home, the McLeod's Daughters cast are like family. Here they share a sunday lunch on the famous farm.

"I always feel really good about myself when I cook up something really nice. I'm into the Asian cuisine... but it it's a big meal, it wil be at lunchtime with chicken and losts of veges."

Do you have a favorite dinner?
"It's my Scottish heritage coming out. I'd do a big lamb roast."

16 Nov 2007 | WHO WEEKLY INTERVIEW
WHO WEEKLY MAGAZINE INTERVIEW
WHO asks Matt his thoughts on being beautiful.

What makes a person beautiful?
Someone who lives in their own skin and isn't trying to be anything they're not. (The irony of being an 'actor' is not lost on me.)

What's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?
My niece at 3 weeks old... and the Broncos winning the Grand Final.

Have you ever seen beauty somewhere unexpected?
Being a Queenslander, I never believed all that crap about snowflakes being unique and one of a kind... then one landed on me — enough said!

Do you ever use a 'beauty' product or treatment?
Nivea is a man's best friend and doesn't feel too metrosexual.

Whom do you consider beautiful?
Wally Lewis... who knew bald could look that good? Oh and Audrey Hepburn scrubbed up alright too.

What's the most beautiful place in the world to you?
The beach at sunset... whether it be on the Gold Coast, Coogee or Borneo.
Pure magic.

Who is the most beautiful person in your life at the moment? And when are they at their most beautiful?
My Yamaha YZF-R6—the moment we saw each other in the showroom... we
knew it would be forever.

Describe a beautiful moment.
A moment that startles you... where you'd give anything to make the moment in time last forever, like the Broncos winning the Grand Final.

Who is the first person you ever thought was beautiful?
Melinda Hamilton in Year 1. Every boy wanted to hold her hand but I was too shy.

16 Nov 2007 | BACK TO THE BUSH
BACK TO THE BUSH
by Sarah Nicholson
The Courier Mail - 17 October 2007

MATT Passmore's memories of growing up in Queensland are full of sun, beaches, rugby league and weekends at the Gold Coast.

The McLeod's Daughters star, who plays Marcus Taylor in the Channel 9 drama, was "born and bred in Wynnum-Manly" and remembers the adventures he had just over the back fence of the family home.
