He may be playing a TV cop up against some of Australia’s toughest criminals, but Matt reckons his other acting job is the real killer. "I've been doing Play School all week and, let me tell you, it's like doing Pilates nine hours a day - the more Fergis the Frog songs you sing, the more squats you do. I come on to the Underbelly set for a break." The former McLeods Dauhgters star deos know how to fire a gun, having joined the army at 18. "When the holster goes on, the army boy comes out in me and I start waving around .38 specials," he says with a grin. "I was trained to kill, so you don't want to pull in front on me in traffic!".

THERE'S bound to be a lot of bare backsides in TV's most eagerly anticipated series of 2009, but Matt Passmore's won't be one of them.

The Queensland-born actor scored a hotly sought-after place among the cast of Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, yet he won't be stripping off for any of it.

"I think this is one of the only projects I've done where I've kept my kit on," he laughs. But the same can't be said of his role in ABC1's The Cut which also airs this month. "I spend so much time in budgie smugglers in that so it's going to be quite a contrast. At least with this one, I keep my clothes on. Being a cop and a good cop, he's really trying to do the right thing," he says.
